Antique Hubley Early Cast Iron Still Bank Santa Claus with Christmas Tree. For your consideration is an original early 1900’s cast iron coin bank / piggy bank. It depicts Santa Claus holding a Christmas tree. Most of the original paint remains. The Hubley Manufacturing Company was first incorporated in 1894 in Lancaster Pennsylvania by John Hubley. The first Hubley toys appeared in 1909. In 1930 the company shifted to diecast zinc alloy. 5.5″ tall x 2.5″ x 2 overall. Weighs about 1 lb. Condition: Very Good overall. No chips or cracks to metal, the screw is secure and there is no movement within the bank. Well preserved original paint. Minor oxidation, consistent with age and use. Local Pickups Are Welcome!
