2 Primitive Antique RED ROSE & LEAF Flower CAST IRON Drapery Curtain Tie-Backs 1. PAIR ANTIQUE CURTAIN TIE-BACKS. Wonderful matching pair of antique cast iron molded floral curtain tie-backs each face measuring about 3-3/4″ wide – actual screw bar is 4-1/2″ long. Dating to the 1920s, they feature wonderful embossed roses, complete with bud, leaves and stem – painted muted red and shades of green – arm is cream and complete with screw style end for wall or wood trim mounting. Condition is primitive and shabby with lots of paint rubbing and wear to the raised decoration – arms have paint wear and chipping – both heads reflect usage marks – both screw points are still sharp. These were designed to wall mount, allowing a curtain to be draped over the bar – they are unmarked as to maker, but I’m guessing they were probably by Hubley. Just a charming pair of antique tie-backs – they have a wonderful look and would beautifully dress any window – nice addition to any home or display! If questions, please contact me, thanks!
