Queen Elizabeth 11 Pillar Box 1961. This is a “Queen Elizabeth 11″ Cast Iron Pillar box from 1961, which is visible from the date put onto the inside of these items when they were first installed. CCA stands for “Carron Company Associates”, Stirlingshire, Scotland. As can be seen from the photos it has been lightly restored with a fresh coat of paint and a clean on the inside, plus it is a complete Pillar Box without any damage. Produced by “Carron Company Stirlingshire”, which is cast onto the side of the base. The lock is a correct “Chubb” original for this box, including 2 keys and a metal fob. It has a Period Replica White Collection Time Plate, and a full set of Collection Time Tabs. The Tab Holder/Pocket is still fitted inside the door, which opens and shuts freely. It is 6 feet tall, including the base, x 1′ 3″ wide, with the aperture being 10″ across, and it is very heavy. Overall it is in very good condition for 61 years of age.
